Dr. Ceyhun İrgil Health Museum

Nilüfer Municipality Dr. Ceyhun İrgil Health Museum, one of the most comprehensive museums in our country in terms of medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, veterinary medicine and pharmacy, offers a new perspective on the history of health in the light of universal values and contemporary museum interpretation. The museum, whose core collection was formed with the support of Dr. Ceyhun İrgil and different donors, allows us to read our recent history from the perspective of health.

Numerous rare artifacts, documents, objects, photographs and testimonies accompany the narrative of the museum, which ranges from the difficult years of the War of Independence to the struggle to create a “Republic of Health”, from those who changed the fate of both the city and the country with their devotion in the fields of medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, veterinary medicine and pharmacy in Bursa to epidemics, from the birth of medical science in this land to modern medicine today.

The product of 20 years of effort and accumulation, the museum also includes special sections such as Bursa Faculty of Medicine, Bursa Medical Chamber, Bursa Chamber of Pharmacists, Bursa Chamber of Dentists and Bursa Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons.

In addition to reading a history of health, the museum, which includes information on human anatomy, organs and different objects, stands out with its educational feature.
