Mausoleum of Ebe ( Midwife) Gulbahar Hatun

As this mausoleum does not have an epitaph board, there is no definite information on the identity of the person buried here. It is believed, however, that the person buried here is Gulbahar Hatun, the midwife of Mehmed the Conqueror. This mausoleum is called either mausoleum of “Gulbahar Hatun”, or mausoleum of “Ebe Kadın”, the “Midwife”. This mausoleum is one of the two, open-sided structures within the Muradiye mausoleums. At the same time, this mausoleum is the most modest one among those of the Bursa dynasty.

The mousoleum which was thoroughly restored by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality between 2013 and 2014 is located in the site which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2014.
