The International Bursa Knife Festival is organized to enhance the global recognition and celebrate the magnificent history of Bursa’s world-renowned knife-making tradition. The event—featuring exhibitions, competitions, and fair activities—will be held from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, at the Bursa Merinos Atatürk Congress Culture Center Fairground.
The festival will host hundreds of participants and competitors, alongside prominent names from the industry. While experts discuss ways to preserve this cultural treasure for future generations, leading figures in the sector will share their experiences. The event will take a holistic look at how technology is transforming the industry while bringing Bursa’s traditional heritage together with enthusiasts.
This Year’s Theme: Sustainability
In line with a sustainable production philosophy, the 2026 Award-Winning Knife Competition will focus exclusively on Chef Knives crafted from recycled or waste materials. The goal is to bridge traditional craftsmanship with environmental responsibility, encourage sustainability in production, and support the transformation of waste materials into high-value designs. By merging Bursa’s deep-rooted knife-making legacy with eco-consciousness and innovative design, we aim to carry this craft into the future.
