Bursa Once Again Hosts the Gathering of Children’s and Youth Theatres:
29th International Bursa Children and Youth Theatre Festival
Organized by the Bursa Culture Arts and Tourism Foundation (BKSTV) with the artistic support of ASSITEJ Turkey and on behalf of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the 29th International Bursa Children and Youth Theatre Festival will take place between 15–24 May 2026, bringing theatre lovers together across the city. With performances, workshops and talks scheduled throughout Bursa, the festival continues to enrich thecity’s cultural life as it does every year.
Dedicated to expanding children’s and young people’s access to the arts and opening new doors to their creative worlds, the festival brings together national and international theatre companies, showcasing diverse theatrical perspectives and cultural expressions.
Throughout the festival, participants interested in theatre will not only attend performances, but will also have the opportunity to take part in workshops and interactive activities. Young people will gain hands-on stage experience, share ideas and explore their own artistic paths. In this regard, the festival aims to create a space where younger generations can express themselves and contribute to artistic production.
With its international character, the festival not only encourages children and young people to approach art from a multi-dimensional perspective, but also creates a sustainable platform that strengthens cultural bonds. This strong communication established with young people forms the foundation of the festival’s artistic and social vision.
As performances unfold across various venues, city squares, theatres and cultural centers in Bursa will come alive with the energy of the festival. We warmly invite all children, young people and everyone who shares their lives to step into the magical world of theatre — because this festival is the hopeful stage of the artists and audiences of thefuture.
